ATTENTION HOCKEY COACHES AND SKATING LEADERS

FOLLOWING ARE POINTS TO ADHERE TO WHEN BOOKING ICE FOR SKATING AND HOCKEY.

Punctuality (being on time) of ice times must be adhered to. If your ice time is from 5:00-6:00-this means you do not go on the ice until 5:00….and you are off the ice no later than 6:00(being off the ice also includes all pylons, pucks, sticks etc are off the ice.
NO ONE is allowed on the skating ice surface until the Zamboni has driven off the ice surface. In the case of a hockey game- players are not to be on ice until the nets have been put in place by the arena staff. (The only exception to this is if the officials or coaches/managers are assisting the rink staff by moving nets or placing nets in place)
When booking a hockey game- a time frame of 2.5 hours must be booked for all age groups except the I P Division. I P’s can book a 2 hour time slot for games. Most games will finish in less than 2.5 hours, but this allows for a late start, or other potential delays.
When booking an event in the Rec centre Black Book-you write the event name- times and print your name and phone number-so the staff know who to contact about the event in case there are questions.
If you are booking an event and need to use ice time from another group-it is a MUST that YOU ask permission of the other group to use some or all of their ice time. This is only common courtesy- permission must be granted for one group to take ice time from another group-no exceptions!
The concession is to be open 45 minutes prior to the scheduled start of your event. If your group has special needs to have the concession opened longer or for differing times- please write this in the black book next to your booking so the concession co-ordinator’s checking the events will see your request.
RESPECTING ALL USERS OF THE FACILITY IS A MUST –ESPECIALLY IN A MULTI PURPOSE FACILITY LIKE WE HAVE IN FOAM LAKE-PLEASE WORK TOGETHER.
